The location of the hotel was great, with easy access to public transportation and a nearby vegetable market for fresh fruits. the owner was very welcoming and greeted us with refreshing juice upon arrival. He also helped us rent a bike and recommended some great places to eat. Another advantage was that the rooms were kept very clean.
One of the negative aspects was that there were occasional stray lizards in the hotel. the bike we rented had a helmet with a broken strap.

The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. He provided us with great tips and assistance, from helping us navigate the buses to Sigiriya and Kandy, to recommending a nearby restaurant that was clean and affordable. He even took care of our needs when one of our children fell ill, bringing them comforting lemon tea. The hostel itself was spotlessly clean, with comfortable rooms equipped with a good fan and hot/cold showers. The location was also convenient for accessing buses and exploring the area. we had a wonderful, family-friendly experience thanks to the hospitable and kind owner!
For dads, it would be great if the Dambulla Tourist Resort had more recreational activities or facilities specifically for children.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, as it was very near to the temple and just a short walk away from the excellent Museum of Wall Painting. The owner was incredibly helpful and friendly, offering me cold juice and hot tea, and even walking me to a nearby restaurant. The room was clean, cozy, and affordable, with a mosquito net provided. I also appreciated the fact that there was a table with two chairs in the room. The hotel facilities were great, and I was able to catch a bus for Sigiriya right in front of the inn.
Absolutely nothing to say about dislikes.

The activities around the hotel were absolutely thrilling! I felt like an adventurer, hiking through the rugged trails, skiing down the slopes, and even trying my hand at fishing. It was like stepping into my very own action-packed movie!
Distance somewhat inconvenient.

The location of the hotel is convenient, with easy access to the bus station and the famous Cave Temple. the rooms and bathrooms are kept clean, providing fresh towels. the host is friendly and welcoming, offering complimentary beverages upon arrival and even providing coffee before check-out. the hotel is situated on a main road but surprisingly quiet.
The shower system could use improvement, as guests mentioned difficulty in adjusting the water temperature.

We stayed at the Dambulla Tourist Resort for 3 nights and had a fantastic experience. The host was incredibly helpful, providing us with recommendations for nearby restaurants and even stopping a bus for us right in front of the hotel. The location was perfect, within walking distance to the cave temples. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a great fan that kept us cool. The price-to-quality ratio was unbeatable, making this the best place we've stayed at in Sri Lanka.
100% Recommend this hotel.

The rooms at Dambulla Tourist Resort are cozy and comfortable. I loved the fact that each room had a private bathroom with a shower. The balcony view in certain rooms was breathtaking. As a guest, I felt like I was in paradise. The hot spring bath was a special treat that I couldn't resist.
Personally, I found the desk in the room a bit unnecessary.
